![]() ![]() Here ya go: Īs far as keys go, if you’re looking for the most affordable option, that’ll probably be in the discord (~$11 USD) but that likely won’t be the quickest. The rest is wishful thinking that has more ground to stand on than it ever has before. Evolve crawled so that others could run, but in todays market they’d be able to run too.Īnd honestly, even if we don’t get a single god damned thing out of 2k apart from this, I’ll just be happy if it brings more people to the community, and thats the main goal of my post. Now, games are way more monetized than stage 2 was, and people love those. The second time was free to play, but it was pretty much the first ftp game of its kind, and it pissed people off. The game didn’t flop the first time around, it just wasn’t as big as 2k had hoped for (but it was doing alright considering how niche it was), then they tried to take over the creative aspect of it, and flopped it completely then buried it. Not really worried about the timeline either, that wasn’t necessarily the point of my post. Good to know, but that just leads me to believe even more that it was because the community demanded it, which is a good sign that they’re now aware that theres still a large community, and a good sign that they’re willing to try and appease us, even if minimally. this post answers both questions, and points people in a direction to further unite the community and keep it alive. I've been seeing a lot of posts lately about how to get keys/how to play and also asking if servers are actually back up at all. mods, Idk if you guys ever pin messages, but if you wanted to pin this one, I think it'd be helpful. Pinocchioh, the Admin, hosts games regularly and if you catch him in the voice chat (usually the one called the laurie ann) he's super approachable and helpful too! Anyways, I hope to see you guys there, and even if this is all that 2k gives us, I'm honestly super excited for the potential growth to the active community! If you need help finding a key so that you can join in on the revelry, tons of people are willing to help point you in the right direction. It's public so you should just be able to find it and join too, it's called Evolve Reunited 2.0. anyways, here's a link invite to the discord server. ![]() But hey, a man can dream can't he? Especially considering yesterday, I never would have dreamed that they'd restore anything with stage 2. My point is, I think we should carry this momentum in the hopes that maybe they'll one day relist the game on Steam, or hell, maybe even open lobby queueing back up eventually! long shot for that last one, I know. From a company that did everything in their power to bury this game and pretend it never existed, that is a HUGE change in attitude towards the game, and I think it's safe to say that their decision was directly influenced by the realization that there are STILL thousands of people madly in love with this game and still playing it regularly. Fast forward to today, and they decided they also wanted to fix peer to peer on evolve stage 2, which hasn't been possible since 2018. But it wasn't, and 2k eventually DID fix peer to peer for legacy. We even quoted parts of their Mission Statement back to them, it was incredible.Ī couple weeks went by, and most of us had begun to believe that this was really it the end of an era. The majority of our server did send in an email. The Admin called, and the people answered. In the midst of our melancholy, the admin of the server rallied our fine group of people to email 2k support to ask them to do something so that we could have our game back. ![]() We were absolutely devastated as a community, it was truly a sad thing to experience. Then disaster struck a month or two ago when a Steam update (we think) interacted with the game in such a way that without some sort of update for the game, the peer to peer method no longer worked. What more could I have asked for from a game that I had been told was dead? You could only play peer to peer, and only on legacy, but I mainly wanted to play with some friends, and legacy is my preferred version anyways, so it was all good. Lobbies every night, making new friends, and playing an all-time favorite game of mine that I had been missing. I joined it once I got my PC back in January and for months, it was incredible. Hey guys, so I'm part of an Evolve Discord server, with over 10,000 members across consoles and pc.
